| RAMI R.I.P. 1993-2009 'Leadership is to invite people and build a strong team to reach the common goal. It produces more leaders in the end, not followers.' -- Stanton Fridie "A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don't necessarily want to go, but ought to be."-- Roslynn Carter 'Successful leaders lead with the heart, not just the head. They possess qualities like empathy, compassion and courage. They also have the ability to establish deep, long-term and genuine relationships where others trust them.'-- Bill George My pic of Rami the Wolf in October 2008. I met Rami, when she was brought to the University of Colorado in the fall of 1998. She was there as a part of Mission: Wolf's Ambassador Wolf program. This program was so those interested, friend and foe alike of Wolves, or those who didn't even know about them, could see one in person and possibly have the chance to interact with them. |

| Her most important goal Io educate the public about what Wolves are really like. In addition to the history that has haunted them, and how they don't make good pets. I will never forget meeting her for the very first time. Here was an animal I was learning about, fighting for, while gettting experience in the non-profit sector on how to do this. I was lucky to get a 'wolf-kiss' from her, a sign of greeting which is rare. This encounter, changed me. And thus I made every attempt to be at their presentations. I went to Mission: Wolf twice during her life. Her memory was incredible. She never forgot who I was. She made me feel at home in a world that continues to be dominated nearly by corruption and technology gone mad. A world that is on the verge of collapse. I heard the howls of Wolves, and instead of being terrified like most people, I felt home, among animals that are still feared, hated, and slaughtered, just because of who they are. This thread carries among not just animals but people too. Rami was a great friend. And she lived a long life. More than any Wolf out there that I know about. Although she lived in captivity, she chose the noblest path to become and ambassador of Wolves to Humankind to show them what they are and why bloodshed and war against the Wolves must end. As well as owning natural denizens as pets. Rami after retiring from being a Wolf Ambassador decided to in her final years to be an instructor to her new pack that she formed in her ways. This was to pick up where she would leave off. This was since she knew the war wouldn't end anytime soon. Rami's former pack continues her mission in her name. Rami will never be forgotten as long as we remember this brave Wolf's journey for peace among Humans and Wolves. And not owning Wolves as pets. Rami was not just a great Wolf, Ambassador Wolf, and pack leader, but a great friend. She is gone, but not forgotten, and we must all take the responsibility to show everyone you can the truth about Wolves. Why they are so important, and the dark history that has haunted them by man. And showing them that we must fight for a peaceful existence between Humans and Wolves. We also must advocate not having Wolves as pets and a greater respect for Nature. Here is some live action footage of Rami and her pack at a Tennis court that was made by Mission: Wolf. |
